Personally, I like the QuickCam Orbit. I haven't tried a lot of other USB cameras, so I can't say I've got many points of comparison, but here are a couple of the things I like:
* The stand lets me position the camera near eye level without resorting to propping it up with kleenex boxes, sticking it to my monitor with velcro, etc. * The bundled software has convenient features (the options for different types of lighting are handy), plus goofy ones (flipping the image horizontally never fails to get a laugh). Now, on the down side, given my desk I don't need optical zoom, but I can see where some would.
