It could be network related? - i.e. network ‘enforcer’ - i’ve had this happen
and had to work with my local campus network folks to get priority with my
multicast traffic (ultimately they setup a dmz just for our multicast). I.e
they were regulating network traffic and it would cause a similar problem to
mine.
The symptom would be that ONE video stream would be on time, everything else
would lag (queue) up by various amounts. It happened in only one direction too.
The problem manifested on the receivers, not locally - and again it was
multicast. I don’t know if that’s helpful or not to know as i’m not a network
person…

These are the locally decoded videos from what Vic is transmitting. Audio
similarly has a delay but not anywhere near as long (around 1 second at a guess

The actual video framerate looks fine, I have some minor issues with the audio
I’d like to address, but that shouldn’t affect the delay.
The machine is powerful enough, and we don’t seem to have any issues like this
at all with Seevogh on the same system. Graphic card and audio performance also
seem fine. So I’m thoroughly befuddled as to what the issue could be. If anyone
would like to test with me to see what I mean (and if it translates to what is
actually sent) that would be greatly appreciated. :)
