Pleas look at the ARIA implementation guide:

Section 5.8.2 will show the events fired for document changes within a live
region

aria-live is not a state. It is a property so you need only look at the
property API mapping.

Now, how a Braille device is driven in response to an out of context event
in polite mode is a function of the AT implementation. Polite basically
says  to notify the user when you get around to it. If the response were
rude the Braille device should be driven immediately. I don't know if there
is some timing delay between each item that is announced. There probably
should be.
