Hi :) The 'main man' at DistroWatch is Ladislav Bodnar [email protected] But Jessse Smith often writes reviews and Caitlyn Martin is sometimes involved.
It's a small organisation! But it does have quite a lot of readers and is the only site of it's kind that covers such a vast percentage of the distros out there. Most sites list about 20, one manages 100 but DW has detailed pages for about 600. Pages are in a standard format so it's easy to look-up stuff such as forums, website addresses or to compare against other distros. There are 250 more distros listed on it's waiting list that don't have there own pages yet but do have about as much description as most other such sites have for their tiny lists! Most distros are very specialist or aimed at specific languages but a few are aimed at being noob-friendly such as Ubuntu, Mint, Vinux, and so on. if you could pass on my initial request for a review that would be great as Yahoo doesn't handle mailing lists well unless i break it so that it doesn't work in normal emailing usage. A regular there, BarnabyH, has offered to write something but 1. It is likely to be several weeks away if at all as he seems busy 2. I think he is fully sighted so even though he works with partially-sighted or non-sighted he might miss things despite enthusiasm http://all-things-linux.blogspot.com/p/about_29.html So, perhaps a collaborative effort is possible? There is no reward for the review and probably no fame or glamour either but it would be great as a small way to promote non-sighted or partial-sighted issues.
