yes, it does. Thanks a  lot. 
And, whoever wants to try this himself and only has a english version of The 
Gimp, the menu entry is "View > Display Filters... > Colour deficient vision". 
They have filters for 3 types of colour deficiency.

At least it helped me. ;)
Btw, the pictures saved the settings from the filter - so next time I opened 
it, it still had the filter applied and looked pink instead of yellow.
