Yet another example of how PWD's thrive in difficult circumstances. Many
tell us that we have overcome difficulties, but this case is another
evidence that we don't succeed despite the problems, but because of
them; because of our abilities to look at the problem in the eye and we
aren't afraid of it.

Hi,
Please convey heartiest congratulations to Nikita and ask her to join
the
list.

Secondly, it is great that she topped her college. This is also a
witness
that universities should take into consideration. I am sure, due to her
merit, university will not deny admission to future students.

I wish Nikita all the best.

Dear List Members,

One of my blind friends, Nikita Vaid has just
completed her BMS from Mumbai University. She has
secured in excess of 80% marks and has topped her
college. She is the first blind student to join and
complete this course from Mumbai University.
Nikita was born blind but has never let that handicap
stop her from acheiving her dreams. When she applied
for admission to the BMS course, Mumbai University was
unwilling to admit her. It took a personal meeting
with the Dean of the university for her admission to
be accepted. Even during the course, no additional
facilities were provided other than a writer. Inspite
of these difficulties, she managed to score quite high
on a consistent basis.

Nikita is a example of " Where there is a will, there
is a way."

Regards
Sameer
