Hi Dinanath, Welcome to this group. If the word files contain scanned images, Jaws will not read it. You should use an OCR software application like FineReader or Kurzweil to recognize the text in the image. You may also want to see if you have Microsoft Document Imaging installed on your PC. This is usually available with Microsoft Office. Document Imaging has a decent OCR program. If there are still a lot of errors after using Document Imaging, you may want to try more advanced programs like Finereader.

However, these circulars are scanned first before e-mailing so that no changes can be made in them after circulation. Besides, the signature of the authority has to be there to make it an authoritative document. Though these circulars reach me as .Doc files, I am not able to read them through JFW reason being perhaps for being scanned. Your suggestions are invited to facilitate me.
