Hi ALL! Windows 98 does not recognize NTFS partitions. Hence, you cannot access them from DOS by booting with the Windows 98 installation CD. Also if you had Windows XP on your system earlier, most likely you would get a message saying that your system is running with a higher version of Windows and cannot installk Windows 98. Even if you install Windows 98 somehow, partition D would not be available. Why not you try to repair Windows XP itself instead of formatting the system. This option is available on most of the operating system CDs now. Regards...
