I guess this may not be meant for us. Internet ticketing itself isn't
available in the first place.

Dear all,

Following is the news item, but I doubt whether we will benefit from
it. This is indeed a new and nice facility to be introduced by Indian
Railways.

Get your train tickets printed from ATMs:
Train tickets will soon be available through ATMs in railways stations.
RBI has allowed seven public sector banks to instal ATMs and
ticket-dispensing kiosks
at train stations, in association with the Indian Railway Catering and
Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). These ATMs will be in addition to the 681
ATMs in rail
stations to be set up by State Bank of India (SBI). The banks that have
received permission include Punjab National Bank, Bank of Maharashtra,
Bank of
Baroda, Canara Bank, Union Bank of India, Dena Bank and Indian Bank.
Indian Railways will allot of 6 square metres to the bank for installing
an ATM and
an additional 1.5 square metres for the kiosk. There could be 4-5 ATMs
at each railway station, said sources. In addition to this, IRCTC has
asked these
banks to instal one kiosk beside each ATM put up at railway stations.
The kiosks will issue long-distance tickets as well as season tickets
either through
e-ticketing or i-ticketing. (
