Hi, Firefox is an independent browser. Windows can work perfectly fine without firefox. The main difference between the 2 web browsers is that IE is built within the operating system and forms an integral part of windows and firefox is just another web browser independently developed with no implications on windows performance if it is not there and finally both web browsers coexist on the same PC harmoniously.
