The problem and as far as I am concerned, a serious limitation with
Symbian Series 60 based screen readers like Talks and Mobile Speak is
the fact that they do not have any functions beyond the basic ones. It
has more than 4 years since the screen readers have started selling but
they haven't become a screen reader in the true sense. They are just
speech interfaces.

Anyway, all those commands do not exist in Talks. But I think you can
read by character, word
And line. Try Edit + left/right.

Regards,
Kiran.

Subject: [AI] Reading a .txt file using Talks

Friends,

As part of my experimentation with my new Nokia 6681 cell phone with the
Talks screen reader, I tried reading a .txt file. While the continuous
reading mode seems to be working fine, I am not able to do simple cursor
navigations like skipping paragraphs, pages, starting from the last
point of halt etc.

Can someone kindly guide me through the intricacies of the application
(QuickWord) ? Can we cut, copy and paste text onto other files ?

Thanks in advance and regards
