Subject: books in accessible format for the blind Respected Sir, Rehabilitation Society of the Visually Impaired is a charitable organization professionally managed by a team of committed social workers having experience of more than 20 years and technical expertise in the field of education, accessibility, training, research, employment, networking, advocacy and consultancy services pertaining to the educational social psychological and economic rehabilitation of the visually impaired. It aims at achieving perfection to the satisfaction of both the beneficiary and the benefactor, that is, we ensure the maximum service to the visually challenged. We at RSVI are currently working in e-text and daisy books. We are currently looking to get more and more assignments; we have a proven track record of completing our work before the scheduled time. If you require your books to be converted into accessible format do get in touch with us immediately. The society is already into providing assistance in the following fields: 1. The production centres of reading materials in accessible formats such as Brail Books, audio Books and E-Texts. We have opened a centre for producing books in DIASY format and our E-Text production centre for English and vernacular languages has already prepared more than 100 titles in a short period of 3 months. 2. Framing and implementation of policies for the welfare of the visually impaired. 3. We have been organizing training programmes, workshops, seminars and awareness camps with a view to sharing of experiences in technologies, accomplishments and skill of visually impaired and evolving a better world, vision and attitude in the society. 4. We are also into advocacy and have filed a few writ petition in the Hon'ble High Courts of States of U.P., Karantaka & Assam for the implementation of the provision of P.W.D. Act. Having thus engaged in the preparation of fertile ground for the orchard to grow, The RSVI now solicits your valuable assistance, social responsibility and infinite sacrifice, so that the dreams of every single visually impaired may come true to becoming capable of holding the torch to the entire humanity.
