Hello to all,

I would be obliged if someone could help me with a bit tricky matter. I have
pasted few lines of a poem from a book in a document. Now what has happened is
that each line is coming as a separate paragraph, and I want to merge all the
lines in one paragraph and at the same time want to preserve the lines as they
are.

I know that one way to merge paragraphs is to go to the last sentence of one
paragraph, press space and press the delete key. In this way, paragraph do get
merged but then line breaks are lost.

Of course, if I had typed it myself instead of pasting it, I would have managed
to do what I want by pressing shift enter, which takes us to a different line
but the paragraph remains the same. But I have so much to quote that I cannot
go on doing this.

I don't know how it looks when each lines are in separate paragraph, but I at
least can see two problems. First, I cannot select the whole passage in one go
with control down errow command, and second, which is more important, such a
thing would unnecessarily lenghthen the size of my work.

If anybody know the solution, kindly let me know. Once again, the puzzle is, I
need to merge paragraphs, but not the lines.

Best regards,

Viraj.
