There is another aspect of taking toll free number at this very early stage
of this service.
if we do get toll free number then we could get lot of calls.
To handle them we will have to set up a full fledged call centre with may be
10 to 20 persons attending them.
Apart from toll free number cost we wil also have to generate funds for
salaries of these agents and maintenance of the systems.

I am not aware of the costs involved but may be it is worth installing a
toll free number to get to this help line. If not totally free, there are
services which enable you to have the same numbr in all cities throughout
the country. Reliance and other telephone service providers do have this
facility. Again, I am not aware of the costs involved...

Regards,
Kiran.

As of now this will work from NAB Delhi only but people can contact from
anywhere in the country.
Being a call centre type of service, I don't think there is a needof taking
it to all branches.

We have been extending these services over the years but now we are trying
to do it in a professional manner.
We are launching this service today and mail to accessindia is a part of its
publicity.
We will be distributing Brochures and displaying information about this
services at as many related organisations as possible.
HPS Foundation has been supporting our technology Centre for a long time and
have genorously granted us funds for starting this dream project of mine.
We hope to build it up gradually. I think there is a tremendous requirement
for increasing the capacity of taking calls of this helpline.

Does it function only from Delhi or is there plans to start such a service
across all the NAB's in the country?

Also, pl give a background as to how this idea has come up, the role of HPS
and what you have done to promote this service among the VI and their
potential employers?

Subramani
