Dear Mr. Roy:

One more clarification, before I put down the article:

Will you be providing placement facility also as a part of this
programme (or even apart from the programme) for the visually/physically
challenged candidate, who undergo this course?

One of the rationale behind this course seems to be the stamp of
approval IGNOU can bring to this course. Though many organisations
provide similar courses across the country, I think your's is the only
organisation that can issue IGNOU's certificates, that will serve as the
best authentication for the student's skills, which is a clear advantage
for those undergoing the course at NIP? (pl correct me if this is
wrong).

Also, tell us what are the reasons behind getting IGNOU's approval, if
the above reason isn't correct?

Am asking these questions, because I want to be factually correct. Hope
you don't mind.

Subramani

Hello Friend,

NIP is a Non-government Voluntary Organization, which is engaged in
different educaitonal and social activities and committed to promote
value based ideology in this decaying moral set up. Our organization has
been taking up programmes for socially, economically backward and
physically challenged segments of the society.

Computer is the latest gift to us and is crating miracles in every
sphere in our life. So, now a days computer education is essential for
social advancement. But in this situation there is no Government
recognized computer training centre for the visually impaired and
physically challenged persons. So, they suffer a lot in facing various
situations. Keeping this reality in mind, we have been running a
programme of computer education for the blind. We have approached Indira
Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) for a computer course for the
visually challenged and physically challenged persons. And we are very
excited that IGNOU has approved a Special Study Centre, No. 2868D and
the session will begin from January, 2007.

This will be a unique programme as there is no such course. Successful
implementation of this programme will help the visually and physically
challenged persons to add a new dimension to achieve their goal.

Your best wishes and kind co-operation will be very much oblilged in
fulfilling our dream of Non-discrimination, Integration and
Participation.

  Thanking you,
