Hello friends, you will be glad to know that steps have been initiated in order to start popularising the use of linux and emacspeak among the visually impaired people in India with first such workshop going on at NAB Delhi today and tomorrow. The results are encouraging and linux has great potential to be used here in India. So in order to facilitate the exchange of views, suggestions, problems and solutions about emacspeak in particular and linux in general, a new mailing list has been created on googlegroups. The address is [EMAIL PROTECTED] You may search for emacspeak on googlegroups page and subscribe or send me a private mail and I can ad you to the mailing list. However, before you subscribe to the mailing list, you can start by downloading an image of the oralux project which can be burnt onto a cd to make it a bootable as well as an instantly talking linux program. it can be downloaded from http://oralux.org/ please note that the file is about 500 MB in size.
