I think the amount of materials recorded per hour may vary based on the
reading speed, quality of a given book/article etc and henceforth it may be
difficult to asses the exact pages that could be recorded per hour. But I
would like to draw the list members to another crucial issue: If my memory
is correct, the recording cost comes to something like $15 per hour if the
order is placed from the so called developing countries and my sincere hope
is that it is meant only for institutions and not individual members.
Because individual members mostly are not capable of availing this facility
by paying such a huge cost, it may further become a barrier in the basic
objective of diffusing NAB services to all sections of the visually impaired
people and thus further accentuating the existing digital divide. Further
clarifications in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Vetri.
