Dear Harish:

For my benefit and for the wider benefit of the list, can you appraise
us on the price points of laptops available. Because, I was intending to
buy a laptop last year, believing HP's add of a laptop for Rs 29990, but
it turned out the additional expenses, such as the OS costs were
excluded from that and I had to drop the idea since the laptop would
finally cost Rs 42,000.

Hi Sudhir
I can help her get a better deal at Hyderabad.

But let her settle for the model. For that budget one could get a good
system.

There are so many considerations, keyboard layout, weight, Battery
backup
time etc which are of individual preferences. I would suggest she has a
look
at it herself. I suppose performance should not be an issue, for, all
the
laptops in that range are good.

Harish.
