It's really a matter of joy that someone like Smritiji is concerned with such issues which are generally not taken care off. Her observations about blind girls are more or less right. It's very much true that some institutions accommodate blind girls and they get exploited there even by the officiating members of that institution. But I don't think that blind girls are unaware of their sexuality. I don't think that they need any special sex education. Sighted girls also get sexually harassed but their large number in the society covers this crime. Our blind society is very small so we generally come to know every happening around us. But so is not with other society where these sighted girls get so called "sexually harassed". One more thing is to be kept in mind that almost 70 per cent blind girls belong to very lower strata of the society. Sometimes this economical factor also becomes responsible for their sexual harassment. And this factor is with sighted girls as well. So I think we should try to eradicate those factors which compel blind girls to join such corrupted institutions and those corrupted men who because of their wealth call themselves 'the representative' of blind community.
