If the CD is from a reliable source or if you get this message fwhile
opening a trested site, then it is okay to run active content. Generally you
get this message because active contents are the major means to spread
virus.

Subject: [AI] active content?

friends,
I was trying to run a cd which upon opening ask me if I wanted to run the
actieve content.
it was accompanied by a warning message that running active content can harm
pc and disclose personal information.
I did not choose to runn active content.
as a result, the data in IE on the cd with links did not open.

now what is active content? how could it harm my system?
is it ok to ignore the warning and go ahead with running active content?
any other information which is helpful to know in this context is welcomed.

thanks
