The group allows download without any membership and I think, we can download for personal reading. We must not use it for any commercial purpose. As regards the syntax error, I faced the same situation. I wrote yesterday about it. I am not sure if it reached the list. Gmail account does not return the list message to the sender's account. Anyway, I am repeating the process for others.
1. Activate the link from the email or paste it on the address field of your browser. It will land on ftp explorer window which is just like My Computer window. 2. Use arrow keys to select one of the categories like Asian Authors. It is a folder and press enter to open it like any other folder. There you will find similar folders named after different authors. Open one of them again using the inter key. 3. Now you will find the books listed. If you press enter to open it, the syntax error will occur. Rather use the application key and activate the Copy to Folder option. It is a dialogue box where you can put in the path of the folder you want the books to be copied. You can also use the tab key to access the tree view field. Here you have to select the folder and activate the ok button. You can also use the Copy to Folder option on any of the folders. The entire folder will be copied on to your hard drive. The copying time will depend on your internet speed. Most of the books are in zipped form. Another advantage of the Copy to Folder dialogue box is that it remembers your last choice of folder. Best regards, Amiyo.
