Friends,I am sorry I never said that we should not take recourse to legal remedies. The Principle of Natural justice demands that one should not be fair but one should appear to be fair. The appointments which are being undertaken are no where transparent and there is no method where one could evaluate their merits on which the same has been made. They are neither fair nor appear to be so. The colleges does not have the birth right to make appointment. If they are flouting the rules so frequently, there is no reason why they should not be stripped of their wide ranging powers in the matter of appointments. friends there are so many visually challenged persons who are gold medalist and others who have secured positions in the university were denied job without any reason or rime. their resume is not only at par with general candidates but more often better than them! Only excuse they used to come out with that the candidate is not found suitable. That is why he can not be appointed. My learned friend is also a good scholar, and I know how he got the job which I may not like to discuss here. Friends now opportunity has come where Delhi University administration could be brought to lines after this advertisement. They can not get away after making a public statement like this. If they default then courts are always there to help the masses. I should restress that I never subscribe to the view that we should move away from the legal remedy. I was one of the first person in 1993 who filed a writ petition against various colleges of Delhi University in the Hon'bleHigh Court of Delhi. I think we should keep our struggle on from each and every dimention. This mail is a boost for those all who are there in struggling against this injustice . With love and care, Vip

Friends! First of all, this statement of Dr. Vipin Malhotra that the governing bodies make political appointment is highly subjective and can not be accepted at all. If he is right, then all of us who are appointed til date are politically appointed. That doesn't happen at all. Apart from this, let me again assert that colleges and the university faculties are an independant unit according to university statute. They have the full right to appoint people and only they could be given the right to prepare the roster. How will colleges leave their right of appointment, is beyond my comprehension. I think, it is a well strategised measure to hobnob with the issue of reservation. We should thoroughly investigate it. And certainly there is no notion of "natural justice" as said by my dear friend. Justice is a social phenomena which is attained through a constant struggle. Lastly, we should not trust the university authorities so easily as if the university had been so fair and sensitive to the issue of reservation, many of us would not have forced to take recource of legal measure. Therefore i humbly request you to inspect all such addvertisements before jumping to any concrete conclusion.
