Hi Vipin / Smriti and others

I kept myself off from this thread, as I did not mean to influence the
topic with my duel role of the list administrator and list member.

Now, I am chipping in as a list member.

Firstly we should clearly realize is Annubuti's firm is a private and
professional body.

We have no business to dictate to her what she should do or should not.

In my opinion the discussion should be directed to the Special employment
exchange who are not bringing this jobs to the knowledge of the blind job
seekers.

The special employement exchange is run by public funds and they are
certainly responsible to the public.

Harish.

South Delhi

Dear Friends,
Let us not detract ourselves from the original issue
that the recruitment
process in the public sector or the State should be
fairly proceeded with.
There should be equality of opportunity, while
applying for a specific post
where directly or indirectly government is involved .
As I earlier explained, that the salary of employee is
paid out of the funds
from ex chequer raised from the taxes imposed on
public. it is the hard
earned money of the people at large. Here everyone has
the right to put
forward his candidature without any mediation and
with equality of
opportunity.
I have failed to understand still, why in higher
academic institutions,
there is no transparency and fair play in the case of
appointments.
If Anubhooti genuinely wants to help the PCPs than
what she could do is:
1. She could provide information to the PCPs about
the advertisement of
vacancies related to them in accordence with their
needs.
2. She could reproduce the advertised vacancies in
national and local
dailies on her website.
3. If she wants to make some earning out of it, in
that case, she could
charge the persons concerned by delivering a news
letter to this effect
periodically or on daily bases. There is no harm in
such a state of
affair.
But if some one starts as a mediator between the
government recruitment
process and the aspiring candidates. Then, it could
have serious
repercussions, which even a person with ordinary
intelegence could well
perceive.
In the case of Gargi college without even a single
advertisement the person
was recruited without giving an equal opportunity to
other candidates. May
be the recruited person is the best academically but
chance should have been
given to other aligible personss too.
So the issue is not against any body or body of
persons rather it is related
to our larger rights which we have achieved with great
struggles over the
years. We should not let it go as a matter of
convenience in the form of
petty gains at the cost of community interest.
Hope I am able to clarify most of the aspects of the
controversy. NO one
should be shocked and no one should quit from this
group due to the
reasonable concerns of the enlightened members.
Short temprament and intolerent attitude are bound to
harm the whole
community irrepairablly.
Let us visualise the processes of life with reasons.
This is the only way
where we could make ourselves consoled and
comfortable.
With love and regards,
Vip
