Hi Asiff, Why wont your brother use a laptop? It is the best note taking device since it is a standard device, does not use any proprietary formats and can handle anything you throw at it. Would he like to take notes in text or audio? If it is text, he can consider something like a pack made from freedom scientific also, it resembles a laptop. However, if he would like to take notes in audio, then the Plextor PTR one or the PTR two would be the way to go.
