Tagging: Tagging is similar to the bookmarks people
make on their personal Web browsers, except that
tagged Web pages are stored on the Internet and can
be accessed from any computer at any time. The tag is
one word that describes the page, enabling someone to
quickly find it again.
Did you know? Yahoo! was founded by Stanford students
David Filo and Jerry Yang in 1994. In the beginning,
it was merely a Web directory of other sites,
organised in
a hierarchy (rather than a searchable index of pages).
The whole of Yahoo then resided on Yangs and Filos
student workstations, Akebono and Konishiki,
both named after legendary sumo wrestlers
