The XRCVC announces a Career Seminar for Visually Challenged to be held on
13th and 14th Sep: Registrations open, last date 4th Sep
Employment- Expanding Reach
The Xaviers resource Centre for the Visually Challenged (XRCVC) set up
since the last four years, is a state of the art facility aimed at providing
holistic education to the visually challenged students of the college and
catering to the needs of other visually challenged persons.
The XRCVCs work on the issue of Employment and Employability has aimed at
training visually impaired persons with both the right skill sets and
attitudes as also equipping them with the necessary know how related to
diverse career opportunities, thus equipping them with them to make the most
suitable and appropriate career choices.
In order to meet this objective, The XRCVC is organizing a two day Career
Seminar on 13th and 14th Sep 07. The objectives of the seminar are
1.To give its participants an exposure to a wide range of career avenues-
management, information technology, law, the social sector, academics,
finance, health related services, media etc.
2.To use the two day seminar as a stepping stone for its participants in
their individual career planning process

Registration:
The seminar is open for any visually challenged person. The XRCVC expects to
keep a total capacity of 30-35 participants for this seminar.
Enrollment will be done on a first cum first basis. All participants are
expected to submit a refundable deposit of Rs 150. The deposit will be
retuned at the end of day two on the participant having successfully
attended all sessions.
