Hi every one,

I have to submit a Term paper in my Course.
the course mainly focuses on integration of technology and Society.
For the end-term essay, I am expected to look at a technological
artifact of my choice using concepts that I have learnt in class
through a review of secondary literature to analyse the production,
consumption and impact of the selected artifact.
prior to that,
I have to submit a concept note for the same.
In the concept note, I am expected to tell what artifact I have
selected for analysis, the rationale for making such a choice, a
preliminary application of the concepts that I have already learnt in
class, the method of enquiry that will inform my future analysis
(possibilities:using secondary literature, primary research) and a
skeletal literature review on the artifact.

so I have thought of taking a technology specific to Blind community.
as of now, my idea would be screen readers.
I have to analyze what lead to it's design, it's use and impact in detail.
so I'll need a lot of secondary(already available) literature.
if this doesn't work(if enough literature is not available), I'll have
to think of another technology.
so request you to put me in touch with people who are into research of
topics like screen readers/assistive technologies etc.
or suggestion of any other technology too is welcome.

thanks and regards,
Vidhya.
