Hi all,
In addition to our regular works on a computer, I now also need to do some
Audio and Video production on a consistent basis, Hence thought of an iMac.
They say Some softwares like the iMovie and Garageband are easy softwares
to use for video and audio editing on the Mac.
My question is, is anyone or has anyone worked on these softwares?
Can you share your experiences with respect to video and audio editing
from a partially sighted person's point of view.
I think with a combination of the in-built Zoom Magnification software and
the voice over software of the Mac, we could do some basic video and audio
editing?
As always, appreciate all your valuable inputs, and many thanks in advance,
Sincere regards,
Rishi.

impaired user?
Hi Rishi,
The answer, in all such cases is "it depends." What is the software that
you
use? What kinds of things do you plan to do with your machine? If the only
reason you are switching to a MAC is an outdated version of jaws, then
download
NVDA and give it a spin. If however, there are other considerations, then
go for
it. Yes, Apple accessibility is good but it is still difficult to create
complex
documents on theMac. This situation may have changed. Start your research
at
http://www.applevis.com.
You can run windows on a Mac via bootcamp and other virtualization
software.
However, if you are doing audio production work on Windows then this
approach
could be problematic. See the posts on http://www.hartgen.org. This is
why I
stress on use cases.
