Dear All,
It’s a matter of great privilege that the number of blind students
pursuing higher education in different universities in the country.
However merely enrolment doesn’t guarantee equal opportunity and equal
access to educational contents and conducive environment. Over the
years, cases of blind student dropping out and facing hostile
attitudinal and psychological impediments abound. Rising dropouts,
indifferent administrative apparatus, apathy of the UGC and the
attempt of suicides by the blind students are some of the grave
concerns which need paramount attention. In the light of
aforementioned concerns, The JNU Visually Challenged forum proposes
for the formation of the National Blind Students’ Union. To achieve
this imperative objective, the JNUVisuallyChallengedForum invites you
