GUWAHATI: In yet another gruesome incident a visually impaired minor girl was raped in Sivasagar district of Assam. The ten year old girl was raped by a fifty year old man in Sonari area on Wednesday. http://thenortheasttoday.com/visually-impaired-minor-raped-in-assam/ The girl however has managed to identify the culprit. She has stated that it was one Phulan Tamuli who had raped her after he found her being her alone in her house. She said, he also threatened to murder her if she would speak about the crime to her elders.
Police has so far not being able to arrest the accused. The local people of the area on Wednesday took out a protest rally in demand of immediate arrest of Phulan Tamuli. They demanded stringent punishment against the accused. The minor girl has been sent to a local hospital for medical treatment.
