Hi, There is always this great misconception and misperception that NVDA is inferior in functionality and on the whole as a product, simply because one does not find ESpeak, NVDA's built in default speech synthesizer appealing and natural sounding to the ear. In actuality, ESpeak is just the default available choice, there exist numerous third party text to speech engines you can use with NVDA. The popular ETI Eloquence as well as Nuance Vocalizer, both can be used with NVDA.
