Varanasi, Nov. 7 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will equip 112 visually-impaired students, including 67 girls and 45 boys, with smart phones, tablets, smart canes, and DAISY Players during his visit here, most likely in the second week of January, 2016.
These beneficiary students belong to Hanuman Prasad Poddar Andhvidyalaya, Durga Kund and Jeevan Jyoti Blind School for Girls, Sarnath. According to sources in department of handicap welfare, the Prime Minister will distribute 23 DAISY Players, 44 tablets, 23 smart phones with magnifiers, three smart phones with reader, 105 smart canes type 1.
