Even I am planning to purchase this kind of display. So far various
various braille  display I have seen, I liked this most as it has the
unique feature of using this display as standalone without using the
computer system. It also has several  special features which I have
listed below.


i had even spoke to couple of persons in india who already purchased
such kind of display and their experience so far is very good with

Braille EDGE 40 is 40 cell  refreshable Braille display manufactured

software like duxbury braille translation version 11 from duxbury
systems, then you can even read the indian languages on your braille
display.

You can Connect Braille EDGE 40 to a computer or PDA via Bluetooth or
connect via USB and enjoy all the great features of Braille EDGE 40
while simultaneously charging the unit.

You can Read and save your data to the SD card. You can use up to 32GB
SDHC cards with Braille EDGE 40, enough to carry thousands of books

It’s Keyboard Type is  Perkins-style. It supports  File Types DOC,
DOCX, BRF, TXT, RTF. It has  Average 20 hours battery life
