Dear All,

Greetings from Blind Graduates' Forum of India (BGFI)!

What could be a better way to usher in the year 2016 than being a
part of an Open Session on how individuals sensitize corporates on
accessibility?

As part of BGFI's January session we invite you to join us for a
healthy discussion on "Accessible India Campaign".

How often have you been disappointed with organizations and government
for being insensitive towards your accessibility needs?
How often did you feel hopeful whenever somebody moved ahead towards
breaking those barriers?
How often did you feel like playing your role as an individual to
sensitize organizations and contribute towards making the environment
accessible for yourself?

If your answer to any of the above question is yes, the upcoming BGFI
session is for you. Please join Sagar Soda for an open discussion on
how an individual can make corporates make their products and services
accessible for the blind. We also have a special session on using
“Accessible India Campaign”, a mobile app that was launched by the
Indian Government on World Disable Day this year to make India
accessible for PWD.

About our presenter - Sagar Sodah:
Sagar Sodah, a passionate mobile app developer, works as Project
Manager at CMSS in Malad, Mumbai. Like many of us, Sagar believes the
role of technology is to help build a better society and strives to
use technology to help solve social issues. His achievements include
- Work on the android app released on December 3rd, 2015 in Delhi as
part of the Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan.
- Building the Talking ATM Locator Android app to help visually
impaired people find
Talking ATMs on the go.
- Representing BGFI in a team that includes XRCVC and other
accessibility activists which is working with the MCGM in building
Accessibility guidelines in the DCR which it is revising along with
the Mumbai Development Plan

It’s an open session, so special invitation for those who have
experience in dealing with corporate and government officials in
making the environment accessible. The expertise towards sensitizing
corporates through business cases, technical know-how, legal policies,
and other smart techniques is what you can look for in this session.

Individuals inspire change, and when many individuals get together, it
becomes a movement!
