Dear Sazid / Prashant / Gajendra Vyas
I am writing this under a new thread and I shall try to answer the queries.

The solar panel consists of a glass surface and on the it the silicon wafers
are spread out. It is about a square meter and everything of this made of very
good design and high quality material to give it that long life.
As it is kept in the open it is meant to withstand high winds of about 250
KMPH, heavy rains and extreme temperatures. Even the supporting materials are
of high quality.
It is kept in an angle to obtain maximum efficiency. The angle depends on your
latitude of your place. Important thing is the place you are intending to place
the panel, no shadow should be falling in that place and it should be a clear
view facing south.
The panel comes of different wattage depending on the technology used. We are
using a 300 watts of power. When we say a 60 Kilo wat plant it means 60,000 W
of power generated in a year.

Of course, after you generate the electricity you can use it for any purpose.
However, if your intention is to use as a water heater, it makes more sense to
opt for solar geezers. This converts directly the heat energy from the sun to
heat up the water. This is a different process all together.

There are also available solar water pumps. Kirloskar too offers such solar
driven water pumps.
