hello,
these are the default settings in window 8 not to show the delete
confirmation  dialog box. to get the deletion confirmation warnings as
with earlier operating systems, follow the below mentioned steps:
1. go to the desktop.
2. select the shortcut recycle bin on the desktop.
3. press application key and press enter on properties.
4. here properties of the recycle bin gets open and by default you are
taken on it's general page. if not, then press control+tab to get the
focus on general page.
5. on this page, press tab multiple times until you here display the
delete confirmation dialog box which is unchecked by default and press
space bar to check it.
6. finally, press enter on ok button.

now you will get the delete confirmation dialog box as soon as you
attempt to delete any item with delete key.
