On the occasion of International Womens day on the 8th of March I am very happy to inform you that our NGO Trinayani with able support by CraYon Impact is organizing "Improv-Ability' which is a collaborative and inclusive workshop that uses Improv comedy as a medium and tool to build self confidence and develop a new skill in creative expression. The workshop on the 8th of March, Tuesday, from 4 pm to 9 pm is open for 12 participants, for our women friends with disabilities. It will be conducted by Improv conductor and facilitator Adam Dow who is the founder and director of Improv Comedy Mumbai which is the first Improv group of India and Gavin (CHubBy) Methalaka who is an Improviser with Improv Comedy Mumbai, an Actor, and a TV Anchor. We will also have established Improv artists to share the stage with the workshop participants in the performance after the workshop. Why Improv? The Improv stage is a space free of judgement or fear of failure, for anyone who wants to break out of the monotony and seriousness of every day life and have a little laugh and feel light. Improv also helps build interpersonal relations and gives a chance to discover or create a new personality for oneself on stage. It could be a powerful tool for building resilience with different groups of people. Improv Comedy Mumbai are charging us a subsidized fee of Rs 15,000 to teach the workshop. We are thus requesting our participants to pay Rs 1000 as registration fee for the same. This will be inclusive of Tea and snacks. Additional cost of the workshop will be borne by Trinayani. The registrations will be on first come first serve basis.
