Dear Arun Sir And All,
I am glad to receive a reply from one of the AICB representatives as
expected by some of the members of this list in the mail that I've
sent. I'd like to enforce my "right to reply" to Mr. Arun's mail which
implicitly accepts that "something has happened against the students"
in AICB.
1. my heartfelt thanks for your goodluck wish. I need to point you Mr.
Arun, that the subject of the mail I've sent states "Letter from the
students of AICB" which highlights the reality that I am not the
author but a sender. as you have been keen in lecturing me about
administration, alas you've completely failed in understanding the
entire concept of the mail which was the letter of the students that
whent viral in Social Media not written by this (IAS aspirant)
Balanagendran D. thus, your allegation on me stands dismissed.
2. the mail I've sent is an information spreading across various
platforms even you can verify where some of your old students have
expressed dissatisfaction in the behavior of Mr. Kaul.
3. if you feel that the mail is a bunch of ignorant facts, you need
not have tried to clarify point by point rather a one line
condemnation would have helped better. from your long revert, it seems
to me and the many who are common citizens to suspect that "there is a
bad blood under the curtains of AICB."
4. if you are true to your facts, then why can't we have a discussion
on Radio Udaan on this issues with a representative from AICB and the
students who have protested? do you have an answer gentleman?
5. from your statement, it seems that the institute failed to note the
entry and excit of its students. if you say no, then how Mr. Anurag
has gone out of the premises without prior information as per your
observation?
6. you are saying that the management or Mr. Kaul has been treating
the students like his Children, yet there was a protest and you've
called Police? how is it possible for a person who treats the students
like his Children whent on to use the ammunition of Policing when he
considers them his Children?
7. I hereby invite the Radio Udaan representatives and request them to
organize the discussion on this issue.
8. finally Mr. Arun, you should have better dealt me with a defamatory
procedures instead of a mail. why can't we try the defamation friend?
can you please?
cheers.

Dear Friends,
I have seen yesterday an angry, albeit highly misleading mail from one
Mr. Balanagendran. D. alleging that "AICB (J.L. Kaul) is doing the
exploitation of it's students and staff". The author of this piece is
an `I.A.S. aspirant.` I wish him good luck, but want to remind him
that one of the important attributes of success in administration is
that the officer must check and verify information brought to his
notice and not jump to conclusions, which Mr. Balanagendran is
unfortunately doing.
So, here are the full and accurate facts of the matter, which Mr.
Balanagendran has conveniently chosen to conceal/misrepresent:
1. The concerned individuals whose real names Mr. Balanagendran
himself has already revealed instead of keeping these confidential, as
claimed--Mr. Anurag, Ms. Shalini and Ms. Esthar--had been selected
for jobs in the Railways and Prasar Bharati as per the results
declared in March this year.
2. However, two of them remained absent from their I T class and the
hostel for a period ranging from 10 to 24 days, without any prior
information, let alone permission. The third person also showed
unmitigated indifference to training.
3. Therefore, on account of this continued unauthorized absence and
indifference, their names were removed from the rolls and in their
place, persons on the wait list were admitted, as has been the usual
practice in the past as well.
4. After remaining absent for about 24 days from training, Mr. Anurag
visited Mr. J.L. Kaul in his office on 10th April 2016 and admitted
that he remained absent from 17th March onward. He requested to allow
him to continue the training. But S.G. was of the view that Mr.
Anurag has already been selected as Programme Executive in Prasar
Bharati and his medical examination has also taken place. In
addition, 3 new trainees have already been taken on role in I.T. class
and therefore there is no possibility to accommodate him. He
requested for accommodation upto Wednesday morning which he was
allowed.
5. Next day he brought with him many other trainees of the batch
protesting against the expulsion of Mr. Anurag and Ms. Shalini. They
used extremely rude and indecent language. Mr. Anurag stated that
"maine to bare-bare professor hata diye, Kaul kya cheez hai". He also
shouted arrogantly. On the request of Mr. Kaul, group led by Mr.
Anurag went to their classes.
6. Next day i.e. 12th April, I.T. group except two, led by Mr. Anurag
met Mr. Kaul and asked him once again to withdraw his instructions for
Mr. Anurag and Ms. Shalini to leave the institution. But he was of
the view that Mr. Anurag and Ms. Shalini should themselves request and
not the group. Mr. Anurag led the group in the morning and put locks
on the two entrances of the Confederation and put chains around the
entrances to prevent employees and the public from entering. They kept
on raising slogans and using abusive language.
7. It was in this background that the Management was forced to call
the police to help in removing this unlawful blockade of the
Confederation. Mr. Anurag was also invited for discussion and he was
given an opportunity to submit written apology for remaining absent
from training without any application and for creating indiscipline by
instigating other trainees to join him in conducting unlawful
activity. First he agreed but later on he changed his mind and decided
to leave the institution. Another girl, Shalini submitted written
apology and she was allowed to stay and continue her training.
8. The allegations being made against Mr. Kaul with regard to
behaviour with girls, are totally false and mischievous. On the basis
of my years of experience of interacting with the Confederation and
its staff and trainees, I can vouch for the fact that at no time did
Mr. Kaul slap any girl-trainee or cast aspersion on anyone's
character. Mr. Kaul has had a spotless record of treating both male
and female trainees like his own children for the last so many
decades. Such unfounded allegations smack of undue malignancy on the
part of the accuser and should even invite defamatory proceedings
against him.
9. As regards the employees, Mr. Balanagendran may, please, note
that "Hemant Pandey" referred to in his mail, was not a staff of the
Confederation. Also, Mr.Gaurav was not forced by anyone to resign as
alleged by Mr. Balanagendran. This could be easily verified by
perusing his letter of resignation. This is yet another incident of
totally unfounded allegations being flung without a semblance of
inquiry.
So, these are the facts, friends! You are all welcome to ask for any
further information by just writing to the Confederation.
My advice to you, Mr. Balanagendran is once again to please get your
facts right. Merely calling names like `stupid AICB hostel` helps
nobody's cause and only betrays your ignorance and malevolence.
