Hi, visually challenged cannot be denied to insurance policy. However specifically talking about LIC, they have a very discriminative policies towards visually impaired clients. Firstly they will offer very limited policies and secondly they would charge high premium. However most of the private players do not discriminate in term of policy or premium except accidental riders. Accidental riders mean the insured nominee will be paid doubled the sum assured in case if the death is due to accident. But still in the absence of accidental rider if the insured die due to an accident, the actual sum assured will still be paid to the visually impaired insured nominee.
