I have traveled on Thai Airways a few times. Most recent flight was just
this weekend on Saturday from Phuket to Bangkok. They have always provided
me with the correct assistance. There is a slight problem in India though.
The ground handling for Thai Airways in India is done by Air India and the
staff here try to apply some kind of archaic rules from their Air India
experience.

In general, just asking for assistance at the airport is enough. Once they
see you and know that you are fine with walking and so on, they won't say
of the nonsense stuff. If they do, just ask to speak to the Thai Airways
staff and not ground handling staff.

The assistance on the aircraft and in Thailand is great. Phuket is also
very nice. I just spent a week there. Enjoy your trip.

Regards,
Kiran
