Dear accessindian members,

this useful tip explains how to activate net meeting in Windows XP. I came
across this one when I was going through http://www.wikihow.com so I felt like
sharing with you.
Net meeting is a small built-in application that lets windows users to make
audio and video calls from PC to PC, chat, share applications, wightboard,
files etc. I think Microsoft has discontinued (correct me if I am wrong) to
provide the online service for this application as they have shifted their
attention to MSN and Windows live messenger. Even then, it is sometimes
surprising to observe that net meeting can also come handy during a situation
where intranet communication becomes absolutely essential. You can place the
calls, participate in chat confrances , use wightboard feature, instantly
share files, remotely control your computer on the LAN using net meeting.
To activate and configure net meeting in Windows XP, type "conf" in run and
press enter. Firstly you will be guided by audio output and input wizard to
adjust and optimise your audio devices, then the application will begin. The
basic functions of net meeting including its special keystrokes are listed in
Jaws documentation.
Net meeting works on TCP/IP protocol. It does not make use of internet
connection when you place calls to a computer existing on a local area network
(lan). one can have video confrance also using this application.
With best regards
Syed Imran
