Dear all
We are glad to inform you that your “Indian Association of the
Blind” is organizing its Second all India Braille Essay
Writing competition, 2017 especially for the visually
impaired persons on occasion of the Braille Day. The topic of the
Essay is – “Braille: Possibilities of Development and Challenges”
“ब्रेल: विकास की संभावनाएं एवं चुनौतियाँ”। Essay is accepted in
Hindi and English
language only which may be used as per convenience of the participants.
The winning candidates will be given Rs. 5,000/- for First, Rs. 3,000/- for
Second and Rs. 2,000/- for Third prize by way
of cheque which will be sent by post at the given address of the
candidate. Name of the winning candidate will be announced at the annual
function of the association on second Sunday of January, 2017
The rules and conditions are as under:
1. only visually impaired person of the age group of 16-40 years are
eligible.
2. The winning candidate shall provide the photocopy of his/her
Identity Proof and Certificate of his/her visually impairedness before
receipt of the prize to the association at its email or by post.
3. Essay should be written at one side of the paper only which should
be either in Braille interpoint (Braille Slate) or brailler.
4. After writing the essay, please send it by post only at the office
address of the Association: Indian Association of the Blind, SK-33,
Sindhora Kalan Village, Near 2 Number Chowki, Delhi-110052 which
should be reach at the address of the association on or before
10.12.2016. The association shall not be responsible for any postal
delay.
5. The candidate shall provide his/her complete name, address, mobile,
age and occupation at first page of the essay.
6. All pages of the Essay should be serially and tagged.
7. Word limit for the essay is 800 to 1000. Individual details are
not included in this word limit.
8. Only those essays shall be accepted which is written in contracted
Braille if it is in English Language and in open Braille if it is in
Hindi Language.
9. Earlier published material in this regard shall not be accepted and
hence only self written material is required to be sent.
10. In regards to the prizes, the decision of the Judges Committee
shall be final and bound.

सूचित किया जाता है कि आपकी संस्था इंडियन एसोसिएशन ऑफ़ दि ब्लाइंड अखिल
भारतीय स्तर पर विशेष रूप से दृष्टिबाधितों हेतु ब्रेल दिवस के अवसर पर
द्वितीय ब्रेल निबन्ध लेखन प्रतियोगिता-2017 का आयोजन करने जा रही हैं।
निबन्ध का विषय है, “ब्रेल: विकास की संभावनाएं एवं चुनौतियाँ” निबन्ध
केवल हिंदी अथवा अंग्रेजी भाषा में ही स्वीकार्य होंगे, जिसे प्रतियोगी
अपनी सुविधानुसार प्रयोग कर सकते है। पुरस्कृत प्रतियोगियों को संस्था
द्वारा चेक के माध्यम से प्रथम पुरस्कार 5000/- रूपये, द्वितीय
पुरस्कार 3000/- रूपये एवं तृतीय पुरस्कार 2000/- रूपये प्रदान किया
जाएगा तथा इसे प्रतियोगी के दिए गए पते पर डाक द्वारा भेजा जाएगा। इन सफल
प्रतियोगियों के नाम की घोषणा संस्था के वार्षिक समारोह जोकि जनवरी, 2017
के द्वितीय रविवार को होना तय है, में की जाएगी। नियम एवं शर्तें
निम्नलिखित हैं:
1. इस प्रतियोगिता में केवल 16 से 40 वर्ष तक की आयु के दृष्टिबाधित
व्यक्ति ही पात्र होंगे। पुरुस्कृत प्रतियोगी पुरस्कार प्राप्ति से पूर्व
अपना आई डी प्रूफ और दृष्टिबाधिता का प्रमाण पत्र की छाया प्रति संस्था
को ई मेल अथवा डाक द्वारा अवश्य उपलब्ध कराएंगे ।
2. निबन्ध पृष्ठ के केवल एक तरफ लिखा हुआ ही मान्य होगा जो कि ब्रेल
इन्टरप्वाइंट ब्रेल स्लेट, अथवा ब्रेलर के माध्यम से ही लिखा जाए।
3. निबन्ध को लिखकर केवल डाक द्वारा ही संस्था के कार्यालय के पते : इंडियन
एसोसिएशन ऑफ़ दि ब्लाइंड, एस.के.-33, सिंधोरा कलां गाँव, नजदीक 2 नम्बर
चौकी, दिल्ली – 110052 पर भेजे तथा यह 10 दिसम्बर, 2017 तक संस्था के पते
पर पहुँच जाना चाहिए। डाक विलम्ब के लिए संस्था उत्तरदायी नहीं होगी।
4. निबन्ध के प्रथम पृष्ठ पर प्रतियोगी अपना पूरा नाम, पता, मोबाइल,
ई-मेल, आयु तथा पेशे का विवरण अवश्य दे।
5. निबन्ध के सभी पृष्ठ क्रमानुसार नत्थी किये होने चाहिए ।
6. निबन्ध हेतु शब्द सीमा 800 से 1000 निर्धारित है । व्यक्तिगत परिचय
सम्बंधित विवरण इस शब्द सीमा मे शामिल नहीं होगा ।
7. अंग्रेजी भाषा मे लिखे जाने वाले निबन्ध contracted ब्रेल मे तथा
हिंदी मे लिखे जाने वाले निबन्ध ओपन ब्रेल मे ही स्वीकार्य होंगे ।
8. इस प्रतियोगिता हेतु किसी पूर्व प्रकाशित सामग्री को स्वीकार नहीं
किया जाएगा। प्रविष्टि हेतु अपनी मौलिक रचना ही भेजे ।
9. पुरस्कारों के सम्बन्ध मे संस्था द्वारा गठित निर्णायक मंडल का निर्णय
अंतिम व सर्वमान्य होगा ।
