Service for Seamless Data Roaming

Bridge Mobile Alliance, just re-branded Bridge
Alliance, has announced the launch of its one-flat
rate mobile data roaming plan called 'Bridge DataRoam'
across 11 territories in the Asia Pacific region.

'Bridge DataRoam' seeks to do away with the existing
confusion over different data roaming rates in
different APAC territories, which may leave customers
utterly confused.

With 'Bridge DataRoam', customers get a choice of two
capped usage monthly subscription plans -- $30 for
15MB on 'Bridge DataRoam15', or $60 for 40MB on
'Bridge DataRoam40'. This is especially for mid to
heavy data users. Both plans can be used for
BlackBerry and general mobile data roaming.

The one-flat rate is applicable when customers roam on
Bridge Alliance's eleven member operator networks,
including Airtel (India), AIS (Thailand), CSL
(Hong Kong), CTM (Macau), Globe Telecom (Philippines),
Maxis (Malaysia), SK Telecom (Korea), SingTel Mobile
(Singapore), SingTel Optus (Australia), Taiwan
Mobile (Taiwan), and Telkomsel (Indonesia).

Subscribing to a 'Bridge DataRoam' Plan before
traveling ensures that customers know exactly how much
they have to pay for their data roaming needs. To
subscribe, customers need to add on to their local
service plans by signing-up with respective local
member operators.

Subscription is available this month onwards for most
member networks, including Airtel.

Mobile data refers to GSM and WCDMA packet data
technology standards such as GPRS and HSDPA. Users
typically use mobile data roaming when they access
their
mobile emails or surf the mobile Internet when
traveling overseas.
