I agree with the emotions and points made in the article. It is the hardcore reality. The only way a change will come is when we move from being entitlement driven to thinking as to how wecan contribute and participate. We should start thinking enterprise rather than Govt reservation. More and more people with disability have to participate and engage with the mainstream. Only then would we be taken seriously. We need to focus and fight for better education and rehab facilities. We need to demand for good quality teachers in schools. We need to start insisting on our independence and start writing our assignments and exams on computers. We must strive to be empowered. In this overpopulated country, no one is going to give us our citizenship on a platter. We can scream from the roof tops about our rights but believe me no one cares. Let us stop play wictim and take responsibility for our own lives and strive on helping other PWDs to be empowered and think right. Else, we will always be considered as Divyang shown sympathy and kindness.
