Its nothing new that we are invited in the events and gatherings either to sing or to sit in a corner as mere audience. I stop attending at least disability related events where the ownership of the occasion doesn't belong to us. Of course I, being a visually impaired, don't mind to be an audience in a literary, religious, academic or any sort of gathering where disability is not a theme.
