Hi Everyone,

I plan on appearing for the All India Bar Exam this December. This is
an open book exam.
WHile they have allowed me to use a laptop to access the reference
material after much persuasion, they are refusing to let me use a
scribe from the same stream. They say that the MSJE guidelines nowhere
permit a scribe from the same stream. So they have asked me to bring a
scribe from a different stream.

Since this is an open book exam, I will require the scribe's help to
access the reference material in addition to the soft copy material
that I will be carrying. I doubt a non-law person would be able to
make sense of such instructions or even read the questions properly. I
will be giving the exams in Delhi.
Is anyone aware of any Delhi High Court judgments which say that this
is permissible? I know that there are Bom HC judgments on this, but
they will say that that is not binding in Delhi. I have said all along
that the scribe will be 4th year or lower, so at least a grade below
me.
They are adopting a very adversarial position.

Best,
Rahul
