Dear friends,

Last week talking to Jagdish Chander was going very interesting and we wanted
to talk a lot more with him, so we continue talking to him this week in our
episode 30. Let us refresh your memories that Jagdish is a lecturer of
political science at Hindu college of Delhi. He is yet another example which
proves that success or growth is dependent on your intelligence and will power
and not on your disability. Jagdish Chander is in the final legs of doing his
five years Ph.D in disability studies from Syracuse university of the US. He
has been blind all his life.

Kevin Frost is a young Canadian, who stands true to the fact-where there is a
will there is a way. Kevin Frost is legally deaf and blind due to a rare
genetic eye disorder called Usher's Syndrome. His love for sport made him
chanallise his interests in speed skating which won him great acclaim. He is
now dedicated to making it to either the Olympic or the Paralympic games in
speed skating. Know more about his hopes and ambitions from Harish Bhimani, the
voice of many TV and radio shows & commercials.

In the advice section, we go further on deafblindness. It is estimated that
there are more than 425,000 deafblind people in India. A few of these deafblind
people have been leading a good independent life, and this has been possible
for them only with good information and high motivation levels. To know more
about this subject, in this episode we have Sumitra Mishra, who is Deputy
Director (Programmes) in Sense International India. Sense Int'l focus is
identifying and rehabilitation of people with deafblindness.
