Subject: [AI] Episode 31 of Eyeway Yeh Hai Roshni Ka Karawan

Dear friends,

There are quite a few people with visual impairment in India who aspired
to do MBA, found ways to tackle the challenges in their path and are now
successfully engaged in their professional life. Mohammed Asif iqbal is
one such example. He is now with Price waterhouse Coopers in Kolkata.
He lost his eyesight due to Retinitis Pigmentosa, but didn't let his
high spirits go down.

Travelling around the world is a dream for many. James Holman was one
such person who had the distinction of being the most accomplished
traveler of his times. By the middle of the 19th century, James had
traveled almost 250,000 miles around the world. James Holman was blind.
Harish Bhimani is with us in episode 31 to tell us more about the
traveling experiences of James and how he managed them.

We know that in India the Persons with Disabilities Act 1995 gives equal
rights to people with visual impairment or other disability. Provisions
have been made to give equal right in education, employment, poverty
alleviation schemes, access to public places etc. In episode 31 we have
with us the Chief Commissioner for persons with disabilities - Dr.Manoj
Kumar. Dr.Manoj Kumar tells us in detail about what can one do when he
/she faces discrimination on the basis of their blindness or any
disability.
