I want to share some of the recent developments in Hyderabad,
AndraPradesh, India where a large congregation of over 3000 persons with
disabilities gathered from 26th Nov 2007 to express their solidarity and
displeasure over the inaction by the Govt.

Following the failure of negotiations by different Ministers with the
Disabled People's Collectives, the Chief Minister convened an all party
meeting on 2nd Dec 2007.
 
On 3rd Dec 2007, the Chief Minister announced a series of measures one
of which is to provide rice at Rs. 2 a kg for all persons with physical
disabilities from April next year
