Dear Friends, Technology has made great difference to the life of blind people. It has made more complicated task simple for us. An App called Seeing AI developed by Microsoft Corporation for Mobile devices has made many tasks easier for VI persons. In this app, there is 1 feature called Person, in which you can take picture of any person and add a name of that person. When you focus the camera on that person next time, it will announce his name. I was wondering what is the practical use of this feature? As it is not good gesture to focus camera again and again towards any group of people. But this Person feature helped me in 1 situation. Me and my wife are totally blind and I had stored faces of both of us in this app. I wanted to sort out the hard copy of passport size photo of mine from the pile of photos mix of me and my wife photos. I selected Person channel in the app and focused camera on the photo and the mobile announced name of the person. The distance announced by app was wrong as my camera was just 6 to 8 inches away from the photo, but app announced that Zoher 4 fits away. But my problem got resolved to sort photo.
